About the Position

BloomBoard Account Managers play a pivotal role in day-to-day operations and have a great deal of responsibility: they serve as the bridge between customer needs and product development. Day in and day out, they work directly with educators to adapt the BloomBoard technology platform to the unique needs of each district and school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day needs of key BloomBoard accounts: public school districts, charter schools, and organizations using BloomBoard’s technology tools to manage their teacher observation and evaluation process, accelerate teacher growth, and provide targeted support and professional development content.
• Building and maintaining strategic relationships with account leads: superintendents, principals, state leaders, directors of technology and professional development.
• Onboarding new accounts on the BloomBoard platform: working with account leads to customize and configure the BloomBoard product to meet each account’s specific needs and evaluation process.
• Delivering web-based product training for teachers and district leaders.
• Troubleshooting issues with customers and working closely with the BloomBoard engineering team to track bugs, feature requests, and new product enhancements, and to communicate updates to customers.
• Participating in strategic initiatives to continuously improve customer satisfaction, incorporate customer feedback in product development, increase internal operational efficiency, and demonstrate the value of BloomBoard’s premium products to customers.

Tasks:

• Create, enhance, modify, and optimize the Bloomboard platform to provide educator clients with observation and evaluation tools.
• Manage and monitor the software that provide ongoing coaching and feedback to educator clients.
• Expand, configure, deploy, and monitor software systems that gather and organize data for the PD Marketplace of training resources.
• Write, update, and execute load and unit testing scripts against functional requirements of software and systems.
• Develop API and integration points within the product to provide customer exports and connectivity to third-party applications.
• Participate in system requirements sessions, platform architecture, database design, and scrum standup and planning meetings to gain thorough understanding of the product, to incorporate into daily work.
• Perform peer design and review processes with programmers and engineers.
• Train and mentor through Bloomboard Mentors in Web and Mobile Application.
• Confer with managers to develop and modify user analytics to improve user collaboration features.
• Analyze data to determine, recommend, and plan installation of Bloomboard platform for clients.
• Modify platform to correct errors or improve its performance.
• Consult with clients about Bloomboard’s features and technical issues such as software system design or maintenance.

KDP Connect™, the online educator professional development tools and resources of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, has been selected to partner with BloomBoard®, an open marketplace of workshops and resources for professional development. For the past two years Kappa Delta Pi has offered KDP Connect to student teachers, new teachers, and new teacher induction programs across the nation. KDP Connect consists of online tools, tips, and training aimed at newer teachers, and is an ideal web-based supplement to student teaching seminars. In order to provide additional support to teachers across the country, KDP Connect has teamed up with BloomBoard (a teacher observation and support platform) to deliver KDP Connect professional development (PD) content through BloomBoard’s online marketplace.

KDP Connect offers a wide variety of content across three unique formats to support the varied needs of newer teachers. In “3 Things to Try,” KDP Connect provides quick tips that serve as emergency “band-aids” to solve behavior problems, find new teaching techniques, or learn to be better team members. In the “Just-in-Time Resources,” new teachers can read articles, listen to podcasts, or view webinars on a wide variety of topics. The “Grow As You Teach” section is comprised of four-topic courses to support teachers with various challenges: setting up a classroom, creating routines and procedures, learning various methods of assessment, teaching English learners, and differentiating instruction.

BloomBoard has become the observation and PD marketplace of choice across states such as Colorado and Indiana. BloomBoard also works with numerous large school districts including Oakland Unified, as well as several of the renowned charter school networks including Aspire and Green Dot. Additional states, districts, and schools continue to approach BloomBoard to utilize its free observation and evaluation tools that also allow teachers to create individualized learning plans and find personalized professional development recommendations for support.

This additional functionality is natively supported within BloomBoard, and made the joint development process seamless. Within the next few months, more than 150 articles, podcasts, and webcasts, and 48 workshops from KDP Connect, will become available in BloomBoard.
