Bozeman Science is a collection of videos that are all aligned with NGSS. Concepts from all sciences are covered, but there is a section devoted to life science. While these videos are designed more for students than teachers, I found them to be extremely helpful to me to refresh my memory and to see what should be covered.
This segment is part of a larger podcast that discusses the methods of teaching biology and how the pedagogy can by implemented using NGSS. It was nice to hear the different viewpoints from the presenters.
An experienced teacher provides advice about how she realigned her existing curriculum with the new standards. I loved the detail it provides about how to go about taking the pieces of the life science curriculum and making them fit into NGSS.
A detailed outline of all of the NGSS life science standards is provided as well as links to activities teachers can use that directly align with the new standards. It is extremely helpful when trying to see how current curricula have been reorganized.
The information here comes from the National Association of Science Teachers. It provides a short introductory video that sets teachers up for what the NGSS are and how teachers react to them. I found this video to be quite enlightening.
This website is the home of the NGSS. I like how it provides all of the information teachers need about what the standards are, how they were developed, why they were needed, and how they can be used. It is updated regularly.
