What’s better than real-life instruction when you want to see if an activity really works in the classroom? This video shows me that the students enjoy the math and movement idea and it gives me a better picture of how to use it.

Watching this video makes me think of how effective it would be in the classroom. Above providing ideas to try out, students would respond well to the kids in the video – meaning that you could show it directly to the students as a how-to.

Math and movement outside? This guide struck me as essential (in terms of using movement-based activities for mathematics lessons) because it promotes outdoor activity. With such a heavy focus on strict academics in many schools, getting out in the fresh air and having fun with math is a must-do.

I love that this guide is so easy to follow. It provides a movement activity for counting that includes photos (such a help in understanding the ideas). The variations are particularly helpful in using this type of movement lesson in the classroom.
