Make the best of parent teacher conferences

Parent/teacher conferences can be enjoyable and beneficial if you know how to run them properly. I've included some resources that have been beneficial for me as I've figured out how to run a conference.

I agree that I should have each student's information ready ahead of time and also have representative work for each one so the parents can see their work and/or assessments. I love having even more time than this teacher suggested for the PARENT to talk and ask questions. I feel the conference is for them so I want to make sure their voice as well as their student's voice is heard. I am of course prepared to lead and discuss, especially with newer parents or those who are just there to show they are supportive of their student. However, I find the parents who come are the ones who have a concern about a grade or their student's behavior and I want us to come up with a game plan together about how best to help their student.
