Argumentum ad hominem: Argue ideas, not people!

This is a great collection because sometimes people criticize people and not their ideas. There is a way around teaching this fallacy and this collection has helped me teach students how to avoid "attacking" a person for their ideas and, instead, logically arguing their evidence, premises or conclusions.

Argumentum ad hominem: Argue ideas, not people!

This video demonstrates how the ad hominem fallacy is an instance of faulty logic, since the validity and soundness of an argument does not depend on the personal characteristics of the person who makes it. Hence, it is a poor rhetorical strategy because it is so easy to beat.
