This is my favorite resource in this collection. The book is the direct result of a year-long project called ‘Investigating Global Practices in Teaching English to Young Learners’. I am very proud to be among 50 authors who contributed to this book adding activities 'Make a SpongeBob' (page 47) and 'Wordle Prediction' (page 102). I am quite sure you will find most of the activities rather useful for you language activities with the little ones.
Ms. Joan King Shin, University at Maryland shares with us her presentation about teaching English to young learners. The presentation is a precious reminder, since it is a combination of theoretical approaches and practical ideas with illustrations.
As the title of this resource suggests, if you need any type of resource to support your language lesson, this is the place to visit! Do not hesitate to search through different sections and to find a perfect song, flashcard or an app to help your youngest students learn English language.
The authors of this book are one of my favorites and their advice helped me a great deal when I started teaching English to young learners. This book deals with major pedagogies that teachers use and with the consequences and outcomes of the early introduction of English into elementary schools.
The author of this blog shares her personal ideas on this topic and inspires us to use some good strategies and learning ideas. Of course, the list is endless, but I think she hit the bullseye with her short but effective list of tips.
