Understanding the different types of thinking tells you what questions to ask and how. Eventually, you learn what type of question to ask and when. The tool is useful to lead students down paths of learning to the point that they begin to ask their own questions. That is when learning becomes self-driven, which is a life-long learning skill that will serve them well. This collection contains resources related to the types of thinking and questioning.

At one time the thinking was this was a less creative way to solve problems, but that stemmed more from the form of testing which in most states is multiple choice.
