Wired for Sound: Teaching Literacy through Music

Music has the power to soothe, to sadden, and even to heal. Music also has the power to change brain waves, thus making the brain more receptive to learning. Music encourages the left and right brain to work together, which, in turn, makes learning easier. Music can also encourage complex thinking. What better tool, then, to promote literacy in the classroom? Music is the key.
