BloomBoard Asks:Do you stop and wonder about your pupils' decoration capabilities? If you neglected their talents before, how is The Valentine's Day the perfect opportunity to celebrate their decoration skills?

I teach careers and internship. My students have varied interests, talents, skills, & abilities. I have 40 interns working in the community at businesses & schools. The professions for which they are training are numerous and some are varied within the same career area. Holidays give them an opportunity to stretch their imagination and creative abilities as to how they might address these themes - appropriately, and to the greatest advantage - in their internship setting or in their future career. Their "project" should be done in a way that will make a favorable impression. I am always encouraging them to stretch themselves and get out of their comfort zone. I try to instill in them that, through highlighting their assets in a unique way in the workplace, it may lead to advancement and a greater success & notoriety in their profession.
