Teaching a growth mindset can influence student performance! This is a short video to explain to older kids the growth mindset--that our brain can change and grow as a result of being challenged. This is such an important topic for kids to understand, particularly before they move into middle school. I'd recommend this for grade 3 and up.
Neuroscience for Kids is a well-known, regularly updated website which provides explanations, activities, and links to resources to help teach kids about neuroscience. In this section, they offer "brain games"--ways to get kids involved and moving as well!
I created this website with a grant from the Association for Psychological Science. This website provides short lesson plans for kids of all ages on psychological science/neuroscience. What's great is the lesson plans are only 25-35 minutes, and recommended ages, materials, and directions are laid out for you.
